Registration - Application Process for 2017/18
Registration/Application Procedures to be a Seaquam Student for 2017-18 School Year
Seaquam has very limited space available for students in grade 9-12 for the next school year.
Registration/Applications will be accepted at Seaquam and open on-line starting February 6, 2017 at 8:30 am
CATCHMENT STUDENTS (Students currently living in the Seaquam catchment)
If you are living in the Seaquam Catchment area and registering to become a student at Seaquam you can ONLY submit your registration form to the school in person. The registration form on the Seaquam website is a PRINT only form - there is no electronic submission. This form is used only for those students who live in the Seaquam catchment area and do not currently attend a Delta School District school. This form, once complete, MUST be returned to Seaquam to be time and date stamped. Please bring all of your appropriate documentation to the Seaquam office – see below for documentation requirements.
Students who live in the Seaquam catchment area AND currently attend a Delta School District elementary school other than Cougar Canyon, Heath, Sunshine Hills or Pinewood OR attend a different Delta School District high school need to see the Secretary or Student Data Coordinator at their current school for information on transferring to Seaquam.
If you are currently a grade 7 student attending either Cougar Canyon, Heath (if your residence is south of 72nd avenue in Delta), Sunshine Hills (non-French immersion students) or Pinewood you do not need to fill or submit any forms. You will be automatically enrolled at Seaquam for next year. If you are French immersion student at Sunshine Hills and you wish to attend Seaquam please let the Principal know you would like to go to Seaquam. If you attend Heath and currently reside in Surrey or north of 72nd avenue you will need to contact the secretary at Heath and let them know you would like to go to Seaquam. This needs to be done as close to February 6 as possible.
If you live in the catchment and do not currently attend a Delta School District school, then you will need to fill out the registration form and bring this with you to Seaquam. Each registrant will have one week from the time your application is accepted at Seaquam to submit all appropriate documentation to the Seaquam office – see below for documentation requirements. Should this not be completed in time (one week) then the original date and time stamp will deleted and replaced with the date and time of the completion of providing all appropriate documentation.
Seaquam will ONLY accept registration forms for students and parents who reside in-catchment at the time of the application. If you are planning on moving into the catchment you can not register until your actually live here.
NON-CATCHMENT STUDENTS (Students currently living in North Delta, But not the Seaquam area)
Applications for Non-Catchment students will be accepted beginning on February 6, 2017 at 8:30 am. Parents/Guardians can either apply in person at Seaquam or use the online process (the on-line process is only available for a limited time during February 2017). All applications will be time and date stamped upon submission (on-line) or receipt (at Seaquam).
When applying In-Person please fill out ONLY the Non-Catchment application form and bring it with you to Seaquam.
The Non-Catchment on-line application will be open at 8:30 on February 6, 2017 from the District web page. If you apply on-line and use the Non-Catchment form you do not need to come to the school and submit these forms. Seaquam will receive them electronically. If your child is accepted as a student at Seaquam you will be contacted to fill out the registration form and bring all appropriate documentation.
On-Line Non-Catchment form link - available as of 8:30 am Monday, February 6, 2017 (If you experience any problems submitting this application form, please call 604-952-5364)

STUDENT REGISTRATION DOCUMENTATION
The following documentation MUST be submitted with the Student Registration Form that was accepted in person at Seaquam for all Catchment Students.
Registration forms will NOT be accepted or dated/timed until ALL documentation is received. (Except in the case where you have been given one week to submit – see above.)
The documentation that Seaquam is requiring is more stringent than the Delta School District requires because our experience is that some applicants in the past have not been truthful about where they reside when attempting to register. Please note that the Seaquam administration will be verifying addresses by visiting the student’s homes listed on the registration forms – this applies for catchment students only.
