Clubs

For the 2019 – 2020 School Year:

Art Club – meeting Thursday at lunch in room 1530. Ms. Janzen is the sponsor teacher.


Seaquam Cubing Club – Learn about speed cubing: how to solve a Rubik’s cube as fast as you can. Club meets the first day 3 of every week at lunch in room 1025. Mr. Taddei is the sponsor teacher.


Current Events Club – meets every Wednesday during lunch in room 2125. This club meets weekly to discuss local, national and international issues. Ms. M. Dhami is the sponsor teacher.


The Seaquam Debate, Public Speaking, and Model UN Club meets every Friday at lunch and also 3:00 – 4:30 pm in the multi-purpose room. The club has about 25 people, and regularly participates in major competitions. Come on out to meet new people, improve your public-speaking skills, and broaden your résumé! Mr. Onukwulu is the sponsor teacher.


Engineering and Arcade Building Club – meets Wednesday at lunch in the Robotics Lab (1540) starting in mid October. Mr. Holbrook is the sponsor teacher.


Global Politics Club meets on Wednesdays at lunch in room 2129. Mr. Mundy is the sponsor teacher.


Health Science Club meets on Tuesdays at lunch in the multi-purpose room. Health Science Club also runs the First Responders program. Ms. Chum is the sponsor teacher.


Homework Club – Seaquam is once again running the Homework Club after school,Monday through Thursday, 3:00 – 4:00 pm in the Library. It is the hope that students who attend are provided with a supportive setting in which to complete academic work and locate resources. The goal of the program is to assist students in developing study skills, organization and work completion habits.

Japanese Culture Club meets at lunch every Day 4 (on Friday if there are two day 4’s in the week) in room 2007. Ms. Yamazaki is the sponsor teacher.


Kendo – sponsor teacher: Mr. Shirran. Meets every Friday from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria.


Music Club meets Fridays after school in the music room. Mr. Rickey is the sponsor teacher.


Operation Green (Seaquam Environment Club) meets Wednesday at lunch in room 2123. Mr. Iachetta and Mr. Huang are the co-sponsor teachers.


QSA (Queer-Straight Alliance) is an inclusive space where people of any gender or sexuality are free to be themselves (even allies!). Our goal is to make Seaquam a more inclusive place for LGBT+ individuals and to educate others about the issues the community may face. If you have any questions about the club, feel free to email seaquamqsa@gmail.com. Meetings are Fridays at lunch in room 2129. Mr. Mundy is the sponsor teacher. We hope to see you there!


Rock n’ Roll Music – Meets Fridays after school in the music room. Sponsor teacher: Mr. Rickey


Seaquam’s Got Talent – meets Thursday at lunch in the library. Mr. Rickey is the sponsor teacher.


Seaquam’s Podcast Company – meets after school in the library. Mr. Rob Rickey is the sponsor teacher.


Solutions Society – is Seaquam’s humanitarian aid club. We raise funds and awareness for many humanitarian issues both locally and globally through student-led initiatives. We meet Mondays at lunch in Mr. Mundy’s Room (Room 2129). Mr. Mundy and Mr. Massie are the sponsor teachers.


Student Council meet in Ms. Mostert’s room 2111 on Thursdays at lunch.

Chess and Game Board Club meets every Monday at lunch in room 1025. Everyone is welcome! Mr. Taddei is the sponsor teacher.


Coding Club – For grades 8 & 9. Meets on days 2 & 4 in room 1429. Mr. Zamar is the sponsor teacher.


Ski Club – Whistler / Blackcomb Ski / Snowboard Club
