The Seaquam Model United Nations Club is attending the Canadian Highschool Model United Nations Conference held in downtown Vancouver from March 31st to April 2nd. Model United Nations is an educational simulation in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations where you work as the representative of a country and must solve a global issue with other delegates from the lower mainland or even around the world. Registration fees for the conference include a 2-night hotel room which means it is also a great opportunity to hang out with friends. If you are interested, come to Mr. Minichiello’s room in room 2119 during lunch today. There, we will have an information session to explain details about the conference and go over registration which is ending in 3 days.

Operation Smile officially started our book fair collection on the 15th of February and would really appreciate all donations made into the boxes around the school. Two boxes can be found by the office, one in the library, and other boxes are located in various upstairs and downstairs classes. Keep an eye out for any posters that indicate a box nearby. The proceedings from the sale of the books will be given to Operation Smile which uses the money to fund surgery for children with cleft lip.
